After the first official version of the Open ECBCheck Standards for Programmes and Courses have been released in its 2010 version Open ECBCheck is now launching the peer-review phase of Open ECBCheck. In the recent meeting of the international advisory board review partnerships have been agreed on between organisations which will now enter into mutual peer-reviews of programms and courses. The peer-review phase will start right after the Lusaka meeting on May 25th. It will be divided into three phases: Phase 1: Partnership Building May 25th – June 25 In this phase partnerships will be build between two capacity building organisations which wish to enter into a mutual peer review. The precondition is to have conducted a self-assessment for one course or program each. Phase 2: Peer-Review Tandems July 1st- SEPT 15th Starting from July 2010m the two partners will perform a mutual review based on the documentation and the access to the course7 program they mutually grant each other. The peer-review should be finalised by SEPT 15th and result in a final report which is submitted to the Open ECBCheck secretariat. Phase 3: Reporting and Certification SEPT15th – NOV 15th During the third phase, the open ECBCheck secretariat is checking the peer-review reports and evaluates the results. Peer-reviews which show compliance to the Open ECBCheck results will be selected for certification whereas peer-reviews who show missing criteria will be turned into a learning report form improvement and fed back to the respective organisation. Organisation failing to achieve compliance will not be made published. |
